Spin for an optional twist. House rules aren't settings in the app: agree on one before you start and keep track yourselves.

Taboo police: A player from the other team watches the card over the describer's shoulder and calls out taboo words.

Hands in pockets: No gestures allowed. Words only.

Sound effects only: For one round, the describer may only use noises, no words.

One word at a time: The describer pauses after every single word.

Lightning game: Play a whole game with 30‑second turns.

Whisper round: For one round, the describer may only whisper.

Accent round: For one round, describe everything in your best movie‑trailer voice.

No names: You can't use any names of people or places, even if they aren't on the card.

Three‑word clues: Every clue must be exactly three words long.

Opposites only: Describe the word only by saying what it isn't.

Switch hitters: Halfway through a turn, the describer passes the phone to a teammate who carries on.

Mime starter: The first card of every turn must be mimed: no words, no sounds.
